Holly Lodge: Our Forget-Me-Not Bridal Suite

Every bride-to-be has envisioned the morning of their wedding, and all the fun involved before you waltz up the aisle to whoops and cheers, nerves and tears. From getting ready with your bridesmaids to having your hair and makeup done and, yes, breezily sipping on a couple of mimosas as the photographer snaps away and your bride tribe dance to the cheesiest songs ever written. It's such a magical moment -- and exactly what our bridal suite was designed to house.

Barely a confetti throw from the Thursford Garden Pavilion is our very own Holly Lodge; a period property dating back to the 18th Century, with parts of it stretching back as far as the 13th Century. That's what makes it so impossibly charming, so magical, so perfect. It's a country retreat bursting with tradition, beauty, fruit orchards and little moments of wow -- and that's just the main house. Beyond that we have the beautiful bridal suite, 3 stunning rooms in the main house, and the wonderfully converted stable block that's sleeps up to 12 guests. It really is something very special indeed.

Pockets of Perfection

Like everything in life, it's the subtle imperfections that make something perfect, and that's exactly what our Holly Lodge is -- it's perfect. From the original features that have been uncovered and spruced up, to the flagstone floors that have been revealed, to the original beams and inglenook fireplace that we've brought back to life for you to enjoy as you slip into your million-dollar gown. But what we love most of all, is the way every room has been complimented by the most beautiful decor and furniture, all of which come together to create the most magical atmosphere for you, your bride tribe, your groom-to-be and everyone else that calls this place their home away from home.

The Stable Block

While the main Holly Lodge building will always be the centrepiece, it's not the only place that can be used as your bridal suite. That's because what was the old stable block has been transformed into a collection of charming en-suite guest cottages, each one bursting with lovely little details, lavish furniture and its own individual style.

There is our Country Cottage, which is an astonishingly pretty room with a delightful New England feel. And then there is the Colonial Cottage, featuring a king-size double bed and a decor that celebrates a far-eastern vibe, perfect for anyone that wants to start their day with a smile. And finally there is Claret Cottage, a grand room for the dreamiest of country escapes, sunrise adventures and relaxing evenings.

The Shepherds Hut

Tucked away in a secluded corner at the bottom of the Holly Lodge gardens is our all-new Shepherds Hut. But this is no normal shepherds hut, this one is bursting with charm and luxury, From the Hobbit log burner to the views that overlook the surrounding countryside, this really is the perfect place for your "escape to the country" moment, your hand gently clasped in your wife's as you enjoy the first moments of married life together. And to top it all off, our Shepherds Hut boasts a bed so comfy that you'll never want to leave.

Complete with an en-suite shower room, Cole & Lewis bathroom amenities, tea and coffee for that fresh morning brew, a fully functioning kitchen, flat-screen smart television, a Bluetooth Roberts Radio for your morning dance and a welcome hamper to give you all the feels, this really is a stunning addition to the Holly Lodge experience.
