Every single wedding leaves behind a different story, a different memory, a different vibe -- and Simon & Kay's will be remembered forever for their stunning attention to detail. That's what made this wedding so special -- and it all started with their arrival, flying from their church ceremony to the Thursford Garden Pavilion in a helicopter, the whir of blades getting their guests ready for an epic celebration. And it only took off from there:
From the handmade bunting put together by a family member to the personalised jam jars dotted around the tables, to the old fashioned milk bottles they served their welcome drinks in, this was a wedding where every little moment was thought out. But our favourite detail of them all was the nod to both Lego and superheroes that embellished the groomsmen. Each member of the grooms party chose a different superhero and then had socks, cufflinks and a buttonhole to match, while Lego superhero figures were attached to the rose stems of their boutonnieres. It was nothing shy of amazing -- and it worked perfectly with our Magical Museum.

That's what this wedding was all about. It was about cramming all the love, laughs and memories they could into their big, beautiful day. There were outdoor games filling the lawn, from Giant Jenga to a tin bath for a game of Hook-A-Duck -- and when the sun went down and the stars came up, they rolled out a vintage ice cream van alongside an Italian wood-fired pizza truck.
We've been so lucky to host so many weddings, and this will long be one of our favourites -- a wedding packed full of magical moments from the moment they landed on our lawn to the moment they disappeared on their minimoon to Disneyland. We booked to have our reception at the Thursford Garden Pavilion just over two years from the date and from the moment we signed our contracts the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Being quite a perfectionist myself I knew very quickly exactly how we wanted our wedding and had a certain vision in my mind. I cannot praise Charlie, Emma and Chris enough for all their help, advice and replying to my many emails and phone calls. They were constantly polite and efficient and really could not do enough for us. Emma & Chris were absolutely brilliant the day before the wedding and went through everything with us. We felt more than comfortable to leave everything in their capable hands, nothing on the day was too much trouble. We viewed many venues before picking ’ THE ONE ’ it blew us away with its old English charm and not forgetting the Carousel which was a hit with young and old, their smiles told us everything. The day was truly amazing, everything ran just like clockwork. All our guests commented on the uniqueness of the venue and that they have never been to a wedding like ours before, a true fairy tale."
