The 12 Most OMG! Celebrity Wedding Dresses Of All Time

Updated: Sep 26

If you love celebrity wedding dresses, bookmark the heck out of this page.

If there’s one thing us girls love, it’s wedding gowns and delicious cake. Now, strictly speaking, we can’t help you with the latter (Hint: Cakes by Tor definitely can), but we can be the most helpful helpers in helpville when it comes to wedding gowns.

Newly engaged and planning the barn wedding of your dreams? Single enough to think Beyonce wrote a song for you but still can’t stop scrolling through #weddinggoals? Been married for five years but got the urge to buy some celebrity bridal attire in case you ever renew your vows? Whichever clique you slot into, you’ve stumbled across the perfect place, ladies.

And to save you from falling down another Pinterest rabbit hole, we’ve been busy looking for the most heart-stoppingly beautiful wedding gowns ever worn by your favorite celebs, from Meghan Markle to Audrey Hepburn and every babe in between. And with that in mind, it’s time to get pinning.

Meghan Markle (aka The Duchess of Sussex)

We’re talking about both of them too. That off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown she wore to the reception that screamed iconic and that oh-so-elegant Stella McCartney dress she slipped into for their private reception. The one with the halterneck. Okay, so Harry changed as well, but this isn’t a collection of delicious tuxedos - this is an “I do” crew.

Ciara

We popped Megan at the top because, c’mon, she’s like a real-life princess. But no one looked more Disney-wow than Ciara. That train, those lace details, the flared sleeves and embroidery. She looked a million billion dollars, which is sort of what you’d expect from a gown designed by Roberto Cavalli designer, Peter Dundas, that required four fittings across three countries. But, damn.

Solange Knowles

Spoiler alert: we fell in love with every about Solange’s wedding, and we fell hard. She even skipped the limo thing so she and her guests could hop onto white bicycles and ride to her reception. How cool can one chick be? And the coolest part of all: her off-white cape dress designed by Stéphane Rolland, which a) stood out from the sea of white-wearing guests and b) was just one of six outfits she rocked that day.

Christina Ricci

Two days after Christina Ricci tied the knot, she went on to the ‘gram to share a snap of herself clutching a gorgeous bouquet in her even-more-gorgeous gown with the #iloveyouricky -- and we totally get why: Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy designed her one of the most contemporary yet classic gowns we’ve ever seen. There was a simple veil, cutout shoulders, a fishtail shape and details to die for. We’re talking pure wow.

Chrissy Teigan

In the same way John Legend loves all Chrissy, all of us loves all of this dress, fact. Everything about this Vera Wang creation was absolutely stunning, and absolutely perfect for Mrs Legend. Strapless, cleavage-popping and the best kind of big at the bottom. There aren’t many brides that could knock this look out of the park, but Chrissy did exactly that and more.

Keira Knightly

The words ‘rock chick chic’ burst to mind when you see photos of Keira Knightly skipping out of her wedding venue, classic wayfarer sunnies on her face, hair flowing in the wind and a tulle, knee-length Chanel dress stealing the show. This gown combined classic, casual and cool in a way we’ll never get over. And she clearly loved her gown because she’s worn it at least three times since getting hitched.

Kate Moss

Where do we start? Kate Moss looked every inch the supermodel in her 2011 wedding to musician Jamie Hince, rocking a simple cream gown by John Galliano, delicately decorated in gold details and lace in a way that stole the show without you even realising. Yeah, it was the high fashion dress of every girl’s dreams, but it was perfectly understated too.

Kate Middleton

The dress swooned over by a billion guests: unique and lacy, classic, breathtaking and absolutely perfect for a future Queen. We wanted to pop this Alexander McQueen gown at the very top of our list but, well, we thought we should give the other dresses a chance. But, let’s be honest, we’ve all been thinking about this dress since we first saw it in 2011. Don’t lie. You have.

Letizia Ortiz

From a future Queen to a fully-fledged one, Queen Letizia of Spain cracked the royal factor up to eleven when she wore a wedding gown with actual gold embroidered into the collar, the cuffs and the hem of her dress, as well as the veil. And she didn’t stop there because she topped off her royal look with a blindingly bling diamond tiara -- this really is the dress of our dreams. Congratulations, Manual Pertegaz, you designed a modern day masterpiece.

Gwen Stefani

We’ve checked and, yup, Gwen Stefani is the coolest chick on the planet, probably ever - and she backed this up with the amazingly unique, custom-made Christian Dior gown that she wore when she married her (ex) rockstar hunk, Gavin Rossdale, way back in 2002. From the waist up, this gown looked the most stunning sort of classic, but work your way down and this dress turned from wedding white to hot pink - and we love her for it.

Audrey Hepburn

We could have picked either of Audrey’s wedding gowns to worship, but it was the gown she wore to her first wedding that we have open in a browser tab at all times. Designed by Balmain, this gown was as elegant as they come, rocking puffy sleeves, a high neck and a big, beautiful, forget-me-not sash. Audrey, wherever you are, we salute you.

Priyanka Chopra

You must have been living beneath a rock with no access to 4G if you’ve never seen pictures of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ next-level wedding because these snaps were everywhere, and we kinda wish they still were. But what do you expect when you’re wedding consists of 29,458 ceremonies. To be fair, though, if we’d had Ralph Lauren custom-make this gown for us, we’d never want to take it off either.
